tbh, it doesn't look very professional.. But it isn't bad for your first time.

It looks like there is way to much green, and it's over matched. Just because your forum has green doesn't mean your homepage has too. Your forum has gray, that's good enough. Although, it's not bad.. Work on the sizes and text.

I'd suggest you go with jSx's work, it looks much better, and I think it's going to take you ages to beat that, and experience. So just take it.
