phpBB styles

Hi all


so I've installed phpBB successfully.

but the default style is so lame that I can't even TRY looking at it.

I've found some better styles and uploaded them to the STYLES directory but when I go to styles in my ACP I can't find them there



any idea?

You do not have to upload them in your /styles dir.
But you must upload your entire style folder into the /store dir.
Then it will work

Then goto your acp and styles, and you will see that you will have te option then to install your style.

lol WarezFreaks are you nOOb? why he need to upload the style folder into /stor dir!!!!

yasser37 you are right, after upload the style folder, enter into ACP there you will see STYLE tab, click there and activate the new style.

Make sure you uploaded the theme correctly.

A lot of people seem to upload an extra folder to the syle dir.
eg.
styles/yourtheme/templates
NOT styles/yourtheme/yourtheme/templates

when i go to the styles tab, it's never there

LOL @ WarezFreaks - where did you learn that?

Anywho, do as gavo said, go into your FTP and make sure that it's only one folder.
That is probably the issue here.

guys this is how it goes

/Forums/styles/[style name]/contrib,imageser,tempelate,theme

PS
contrib,imageser,tempelate,theme are file names in side the [style name] folder



this is how I did it and yet there's nothing in my styles tab

only default things!
