never knew it done that but there must be some setting inside the seo options that allow to change the re write

Well i dont know why u like it installed with it installed it remoces your flexability for things like editing posts deleting them etc u need to go back to mod cp click vbseo and do all that its easier just to not install it

If your image urls are getting added to your current location, then vbSeo did NOT set a RewriteBase. So you have to set it on your own by inserting RewriteBase / into your .htaccess file.
