Do forum contests really work?
There are so many 'post the most' forum contests online. And, while these contests attract new forum members and inspire inactive forum members to post more, the end result is how the same people who were racing around trying to post a lot during the contest go inactive again after the contest ends. So do forum contests like this really work to produce long term active posting members?
