If LG doesn't make an Android based phone for Verizon within that time, this will be my next phone for sure (just because I really like LG as a company, I have an LG Dare at the moment).

If Apple doesn't get off their contract with AT&T coming in 2010, android powered phones for will sell like hotcake. Verizon has the best network (bandwith-wise, other carries can bitch all they want but it comes down to pure numbers). Android 2.0 is very impressive, and Google is a beast at almost everything it does.

Not to mention mad props to Motorola, this phone looks absolutely gorgeous, I'm going to head to a Verizon store soon just so I can test one out.

Simplicity in design, holds nothing back in productivity. Open source for life!

Does look quite nice but the iPhone still has the advantage of (more) apps.

I do think the android OS easily outperforms the iPhone OS so it's just a matter of creating the perfect phone for it.

I agree with JmZ - Android has a lot of potential (and could easily outperform iPhone's OS) but it needs someone to make a good phone to show it. It's like getting OS X and running it on a crappy PC

iPhone def still has the advantage. But I predict in 3-4 years, the Android system will beat it (no matter if its still on at&t or not.)
