How to change the PHP version in cPanel
If you have a Kualo shared or reseller hosting plan, you are able to select from 4 different versions of PHP. Not only can you choose from these different PHP versions on the same server, but you can also set different versions of PHP to run in different directories in the same hosting account.
This is useful, for instance, if you want to run most up-to-date version of a PHP application requiring the latest release of PHP, or if you’ve got some older software that requires a slightly older version of PHP. With 4 different versions of PHP running on the same server, you should always be able to find a PHP version that is compatible with your application.
This demo assumes you've already logged in to cPanel
Now let's learn how to change the PHP version on a folder in your website
1) Click the PHP Version Manager icon
2) Click on the folder that you'd like to set the PHP version for. To set the PHP version for the entire account, select the public_html folder. Alternatively, select any sub-folder to change the PHP version just for that sub-folder.
3) Select from the list of available PHP versions, and click on Save.
This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to change the version of PHP used in your cPanel account.Areon Reviewed by Areon on .
