It always depend on wihc kind of theme like free or paid and also almost all the themes can be customized into beautiful

Make your own theme. Download photoshop, fuck around with it. Do a lot of research on other blogs, what you like what you don't. Copy them .

Black is the best one. Log in to your control panel, and in control panel area you will find theme option go to their and change it.

Well, if you have a WordPress site there are thousands of options with all the available free themes out there. The one free theme that I seem to use the most no matter what type of site I am building is Tempera. It has over 200 settings, plus it's a responsive theme. It has over 50 fonts, 12 widget areas, a slider, unlimited columns, customizable presentation page, and a whole lot more.

I purchase theme and customize it or I use free theme and customize CSS to look beautiful. I think best option is CSS customization.

Best is to start from themeforest themes. there you will find a lot of good templates which are always updated and avoid security problems in the future
