why different prices i7 servers?

i see some i7 servers for 300 euro a month and some same i7 servers on other sites for 50 euro a month. those i7 OVH Servers are very cheap

what is the difference, didnt i noticed the difference?

i see om a lot of sites like: i7 server 12 gb ram, 2 tb space 290 $ and on other site like 500% cheaper

how is this possible?

i7 is a desktop grade CPU. An E3 would be much better solution that is designed for servers. I would always prefer an E3-1230 over i7.

so those Intel Xeon servers are better for website hosting then i7 servers? i want whm cpanel dedicated server

its mostly a matter of power consumption mate. server CPUs are more durable on long run and most importantly they have less power consumption than the desktop CPUs. a server CPU is rated for 65TDP while desktop i7 sometime go as high as 125TDP ! thats a godly amount of difference when it calculated at a DC scale ! imagine one thousand 3930 bruning 360w/hour while E3-1230 burning 150W/hour . now add the number of days and hours and peak hours .......... ! you see the huge difference in expense !

Xeon server CPUs are much more cost effective and more durable ! these are tough low consumption bastards while desktop i7 are mother overclokers that burn Watts like twice as much with much higher frequency + turbo speed blah blah bl;ah

OVH is a very large company,their high investments and generous owners allow to sell at cheap price.
