First problem of those companies is that they are trying to chew a piece of traffic, too big for their mouth. We won't do that. We plan to find some affiliates willing to work for mutual benefits and after that we will put affiliate programm on hold, until additional resources will arrive.
Yes, that's not really comfortable for those who will wish to join, but that's a good move in overall.

About downloading speeds and development stuff. We are really proud of our system, period.
It was designed and developed by us.
Core engine and all scripts used for upload, download, etc. has our architecture.
Programmers that were working on it are used for high traffic load due to experience of developing anti-DDoS system and other projects, unfortunatly which i cannot say in loud.

And about payment systems. Yes, you are right, there is really some difficulties with payments and payouts on a file-sharing market, but please take a look on other markets, same happens there. This means that lots of people loose their opportunity to pay on the web, demand goes up and what happens when demand is high for payments? Right, a lot of new payment systems appear.
