WDF How did you came to that clue? As far as I know, if Kim Dotcom and Megaupload proofs their innocence, United States/New Zealand need to give back all seized property, money, servers, along with domain name and pay them sum of the money they lost during the trial.

I think that there's no hope for Megaupload. About payments, that can be arranged, but that requires someone with a lot of budget, offshore space on the Earth (possible satellite, boat in offshore channels etc etc) and start his own business with payment processing, but chances for this to happen are equals 0.

Being an uploader of legal content I own and having been ripped off and screwed over by file hosts I hope they all end up crashing and burning and have to get real jobs. Just like they tell uploaders to do once they screw them over.

You are probably only living in the internet world. Money can do anything, it even makes war and 3rd world countries. There are plenty of illegal / bribing ways of getting a domain back.
