What is the best free forum software regarding CPU usage

What is the best free forum software regarding CPU usage?
I mean the lightest one that not cause much CPU overload.
I have used MyBB previously, it was causing too much overload when your forum post count increase.

I presume you mean one of the current forum software. Not older versions.

I use IPB and it has many options to keep your resources low. But whatever software you use it will start to use resources for every mod/hook/app you install.

So the point would be to keep the extras to none or minimum and set the search features to minimum return and any software can work.

Mybb is great for low cpu usage check the plugins you have installed is chat installed deleted it and then check cpu use

IMO phpBB is best i have several phpBB boards with over 100k posts and topics and phpBB is never troubling cpu usage

It is phpbb vs mybb, the only way to know which one is best is to test both of them on true online forums.
@DJboutit: mybb is good, but when your posts reach near 1 milion then even 2gb dedi server can't handle it
