Let me know if I get it right. You will go to those sites on the RDP and play the videos. Then you'll use a software on your RDP to capture the videos being played? Well, the simplest answer is it will lag.

Think of this way, 99% of the time servers don't have graphics cards and don't have a powerful built-in video playback features. So it's like trying to play a video on a desktop computer which doesn't have a video card and no video drivers installed. The server is worse than this desktop so, it will lag.

You can try with a cheap RDP that is located in the same continent as yours. I have a server 600 km away from where I live. It plays almost fine but it still lags and not good enough to actually enjoy it.

I think you require a big dedi with RDP. Levac109 is right about the Lag & GPU configuration thing.
Find one with More CPU cores. Atleast 4 in this case. Or find a 2nd gen i7 with Intel integrated graphics. I think that should do for you.
And before you try it on your RDP. Try doing the same from your PC. Don't waste your money just like that.

My box is a dedicated server with 8 cores and 8 GB DDR3 RAM with dedicated 100 Mbps - plus it's located 6 hours drive from my home but it still lags. I don't think what he said would work unless the server is located like 5-10 mins drive from his home lol. It's all about the ping. Need to find one with < 10ms.

True Maybe it's about the ping. But i was talking about the streaming thing with correct ping & transfer rate
So then, it only depends on the Distance between his home & server i assume. Else it will definitely lag

well i dont get it , basically RDP is just another computer like my own right, the problem is i dont have enough uploading speed here,
So i am playing the video on RDP and I am capturing the video on that RDP, means the software like splitcam will be install on the RDP not my PC. I will run the Splitcam on RDP and capture the video . Is that possible?
