I have just purchased a VPS from Hybrid-Hosts and here's my experience with them, till now:

There were a few bumps in the road, since I was apparently using some faulty Plugins and during installation an Apache error had occurred.

I had just come from ScopeHosts, where I hosted my site for two weeks, and as you can guess, it was a horrible experience. Although the service was good, their servers are a joke. I suspect them of massive overselling. It didn't matter what I did, I upgraded my server to 1GB RAM, purchased two additional CPU's, but nothing seemed to get the server-load to an acceptable level and/or stable. In the end I paid € 50,- ($ 63,-) for this whole ridiculous package. So two weeks, € 50,- and 18 support tickets later I decided to continue looking for another host.

Then I found Hybrid-Hosts, which couldn't have happened at a better time!

First of all, there prices are ridiculous. Ridiculously CHEAP that is! I purchased a VPS with 2GB Ram, 2 CPU's, 2 IP's and cPanel for only $ 50,- and I got $ 5,- off on the first month. So for a better package, I'm saving € 10,- a month compared to scopehosts.

What is also nice to mention is that they offer Free Managed Service with every package. Justin (one of the employees, who also posts on this forum) explained to me: "Why pay for service? If you buy a TV in an electronics store, they'll answer your questions for free. Why would you have to pay for if you some questions about your VPS?" Well, I think it's save to say that that is Timeless wisdom right there!

And let me tell you, they give the word "Managed" a whole new meaning: these guys have seriously spend all weekend with me (Justin didn't barely slept) to get my VPS working. Like I said, there were a few bumps down the road, but they straightened it out. These guys seriously put their customers before anything else. He let me watch his screen through join.me while he was installing everything so I could see what was going on and answered all my questions, immediately. No support tickets, just live chat and skype.

Hardware-wise there's also nothing to complain. They only use XEN, which already shows the honesty of their business, since it's impossible to oversell and they only use state of the art hardware. After we straightened out all the errors my site has been stable and fast, just look at the results from pingdom.com:



Funny detail: this is without any optimizations! No caching-plugins or whatever. Just a basic whm, cpanel and wordpress install.

So, yeah, I can only say: if you are looking for a reliable, honest and cheap, go here. You won't be disappointed!
