why is netherlands safe?
Anyone know why everyone considers netherlands safe for warez linking? I mean specifically in terms of the law(a link would be helpful)

Personally, now that TPB is there I would never go there, not even if the server fee was $100 there and I was paying $500 where I am at.
I didn't consider the Netherlands prior to TPB moving there, so it is not soley related to The Pirate Bay.
I will say this though. Everyone seems to be going there for now and everyone seems to be doing fine. As time progresses though things will change - pressure is soon to come - and so are the crack downs in Netherland.

Because its off shore. Although yh with TPB the lawyers paid a lot of money to win the case, and because it was a grey area of the law the ones with the most money won imo.

Just remember warez linking is different to torrent tracking
So kiss me and smile for me, say that you'll wait for me <'3

Depends on what stage.
You can be fine with minimal traffic (1k+) in the USA, Canada, etc for some time.
If you are going for ultimate safety on any scale - China.
I would not recommend going to China when just starting up a site because server fee's are much higher and there is a latency issue that can disrupt the flow of a young site, let alone a prominent site. However with that being said - it's on an individual to individual basis as to where you would like to host.
It's not always a "monkey see, monkey do" move when picking where you want to go, believe that. Always do some research. It all depends on the data center and the upstream providers.

Many people don't know what real offshore is.
It's simple you are offshore when you are hosting outside the country you life !Respected: george101,Hawk,Image,sjshah
