You could analyze bounces to get rid of non-working mailboxes.

You can ask him to verify his email address, send him and email, if he was able to verify on the link you'll provide in the e-mail, then "his inbox works".

Just md5 some random data thats almost unique to that user, like their first name or username and use that.

If you own a website and want people to sign up for a newsletter or register you can check first they enter a valid email address (have @ and dot) and send then a random MD5 code in a link they have to follow to validate their email. You can find these type of php scripts online easily.


On the other hand if you have a huge list of emails you want to spam and need to know which are working then ask one of the admins to delete your account as your not welcome here.

You can only verify the existence of the mail server.
