Need help on making a personal seedbox server

Hello, I'm very knew on these things and am looking for some guides about making a seedbox. Also, I have a question on where can a seedbox be set up, if it can be made on either a dedicated/shared hosting.

I also would be glad if anyone with knowledge on these stuffs would answer any further questions I could have as the discussion about the basics goes on. Thank you.

I have rTorrent and uTorrent and b4rt seedboxs which software are you going to be using, also shared is not good, most if not all hosting providers dont allow it on shared plans and if you get caught you will get shut down.
VPS is slightly different but again make sure you ask before you buy, so that leaves us with dedicated which of coarse is the best way.

You can always go with a PHP based solution: torrentflux. It's pretty cool. I use it all the time.

Oh yeah, it should be a dedi that I and another friend shares. I'm not enlightened on this techie part yet, and been wondering about installation via cpanel.

Seedbox for personal use or for resale?

you could install transmission and install a web gui for it (simplest)
Better is rtorrent/libtorrent with rutorrent web gui. More complicated to install depending on what linux flavour your dedicated/vps is running.
