Well using WHMCS with regular updates on a secured host is much better than 1$ reseller host with nulled WHMCS etc... There are other better options too but whmcs provides nice package. In the end it comes to personal choice.

WHMCS is the best billing software for web hosting. Many big websites got hacked this year, everyone learns from mistakes we can just hope that this instance is not repeated and enough measures are in place to prevent the servers from hacking.
