I was working on a project for a client and I keep running in to issues with IE. If IE was never around, I could had saved countless hours of my time. Needing a break from work, I decided to create this poll:

I don't know what Microsoft think they are doing, but they are spoiling web development completely. I spit on their OS and their browser all together

If IE wasn't around, Mozilla and Chrome likely would not have existed. Yes, other browsers like Netscape were there, but given their life, do we really want to go down that road?
Without IE and Windows, despite how lowly you may think of them, the Internet would not exist as it does today. It's foolish to believe otherwise.
On topic:
No, I do not think IE should adopt the Mozilla framework. We need a centralized framework that all browsers use. Mozilla is not a governing body, therefore should not have the power to dictate what x and y should mean or be named.
Web development is a mess because of incompatibility and a lack of a governing body. It always will be a mess unless one is created. Would getting rid of IE solve all the problems? No? Then no, it should not be removed as that is simply working around the problem -- not fixing it.Coder for hire. yeah i do agree but, thinking my school has thought me the knowledge & i'm loyal to my school so i wont do a job is completely Foolishness. isn't it?
if they(Microsoft) want to be top all the time then they need to satisfy the means of end-user everytime, they failed, and MF did that. so yeah as simple as that. These days there is downfall of FF users and no of chrome users are increasing. All in all its common, the raise and fall of competitors but Microsoft will never use FF interface and i'm waiting for the word from Microsoft officials that they will be no more IE lol

PornShareProject.org MidnightDesires.orgI don't hate Windows, I actually prefer Windows OS over Apple's since I started with it, but IE itself has just caused too much problems for me and every other web developer out there. MS is mainly an OS company and they should focus on that instead of millions of half ass projects.
Also, MS stole the idea for a graphical operating system and the mouse from Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple. So, if MS wasn't around, Apple would had been the one on top in the 80s and 90s.. . and maybe everything would had been as good better if Steve Jobs had more time and money to come up with new ideas.
Now here what i'm wondering.. . for the people who voted they love IE -- had you guys even tried a different browser like FireFox or Chrome for longer then a few days?Linkwheel + Backlinks + Free Ping / Plans starts at $15

I wouldn't have a problem with IE if they were at least consistent about the bugs. The biggest problem is they introduce new problems in each release. I learnt how to deal with the box model issues in IE6 then they released version 7 where they had some new, even more blatantly stupid mistakes
IMO microsoft should drop the IE project all together and adopt the mozilla engine or buy the webkit license (or even better use Opera as the default browser in windows [man can only dream])Stream videos from RS directly | Earn up to $3/1000 views | RapidPlayer.org
