allgames2k.com games2k.me Moviesondownload.com?Anonymous? hackers plan to stop CISPA with Operation Defense
The United States House of Representatives recently voted to pass the controversial Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA). The bill looks to give businesses and the federal government legal protection to share cyber threats with one another in an effort to prevent online attacks. Internet privacy, neutrality advocates and even the Obama Administration feel as if the bill does not contain enough limits on how and when the government may monitor private information. Online petitions opposing the bill and its supporters have collectively garnered more than one million signatures, although such protests have seemingly had little to no effect thus far. The hacktivist group “Anonymous” is looking to change that, however, with the announcement of Operation Defense: Phase 2.
In a video recently uploaded to YouTube, Anonymous acknowledged that its traditional DDoS-style of attacks are becoming less effective because companies have upgraded their web servers to withstand such threats. The group states that “we will not stand while our rights are being taken away,” and is planning a traditional protest of the companies who support CISPA.
The protest will begin on Tuesday, May 1st, and continue through June 30th. Anonymous and its supporters will target, AT&T, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, Bank of America, Chase Bank, McGraw-Hill, Coke and Pepsi, Target, WalMart, CVS and Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Anonymous’s video announcement follows below.

"hackers plan to stop CISPA" - I'm sorry but what exactly can a DDoS and a small protest do to provent CISPA?
It's a nice idea but I doubt anything will happen as a resort of their efforts. But I'll support them, nontheless.
Ooo, cvrle77 said words of wisdom in chatbox; "its dumb to go with peaceful protest against dictatorship". Agreed, they claim to be a democracy (therefore in an ideal world would listen to the protests but they wont) - peaceful protest wont do anything (might not even raise awareness because mainstream news wont bother to report it).

extremecoderz.comThe problem is that when we express our thoughts on the subject, we are ignored. If you are completely ignored, you are given little choice but to act physically. I don't agree with the taliban regime, but you can understand "why" these situations come to a head.
Still, yet again, it doesnt really matter what we say, they will do whatever puts money in their pockets.

First off, there are many forms of democracy, only one of which involves directly listening to the individual voices of the electoral base. While the United States is not a direct democracy of old, it is certainly not a dictatorship. Were that the case, these laws would have already been passed and in much worse form. You wouldn't be talking about CISPA because SOPA and PIPA would have already been made law.
Secondly, the most dramatic changes to ever occur in the American government were caused by peaceful protests. Heck, some of the most important changes world-wide have been by peaceful protest. You should probably brush up on your history before you make assertions like that. Even #occupywallst has raised enough awareness to force mainstream media coverage.
