I have found being active in several forums with same niche helps alot in getting new visitors and it helps alot with getting a good rep.

Example If a reputable KWWH member started a hosting company. Even if it's brand new. there would be alot of customers from KWWH members even with little advertising and seo. same thing with other forums and niches.
