Hello, I was wondering what would be "better" to protect my site against DDoS attacks.

    CloudFlare.com

    or

    Thanks

    1. Cloudflare is neither a reverse proxy nor is it meant to be used for DDoS protection.
2.If you really want to protect yourself form DDoS get a hardware level firewall or use a service that provides real DDoS protection ( this too will cost you something in the upper hundreds or thousands range).
    3. Reverse proxy is only used to hide your real IP. If a RP service says that they'll provide DDos protection for 9-10$ then that service is a fluke.

Curious why you don't think CloudFlare is a reverse proxy. And we actually can help mitigate a lot of DDoS attacks (not all) for sites that are using us.

Because its extremely easy to find the real server ip of a website if its using cloudflare's DNS. On the other hand, its rather hard to find a website's real ip's if a proper reverse proxy is used.

You guys do offer some DDoS protection but its rather hard to believe that you'll be able to completely mitigate a heavy DDoS attack, lets say 1-2GB.
