that seems to have worked m8 i put my server on today and it said i got 44 days left before rdp will stop working so looks like its added 28 days by putting the server clock back a month

I can't beleive this I would try to find another solution because this sounds so silly that I will never beleive it is possible

i might still go off after 16 days but up to now it says 44 days

You could search for a license key and put it in the registery.

Hi,
Do the following:
Open the command prompt and change working directory to System32 directory.
Type in slmgr.vbs -ckms (this clears and KMS entry you may have)
Type slmgr.vbs -upk (this removes any product key installed)
Type slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (where the x?s is the new product key you want to use )
Type slmgr.vbs -ato (this activates the server)
after doing that, Windows Server should show up as activated.
