Hotfile is a bad choice as a backup... They have a lawsuit open against them.

Wupload should be fine, but why not just use rapidshare? The download speeds are top class, and they should be around for a while..

do not mix personal files with warez file hosting services. You will
lose everything. Time to pay if you want to play with the big boys.

And Wupload is not one of the big boys

Don't use wu to save the backup of warez.
They will ban your account and tell you are against the DMCA even through you never share these files.
If you need a backup (never sharing public) filehost, HF is better than wu,trust me.
But HF only allow people download data less than 50GB in a day.

For backup consider depositfiles, mediafire etc they give very good download speed for free users.

As a backup you do NOT need good speeds for free users, as you'll be downloading as a premium.

Seriously, I think rapidshare fits the bill the most. Good uploads, good download speeds, they've won lawsuits and they'll be around for a while.

However, they've started blocking files by MD5 again, so if you're going to use them as a backup, use rapidleech or whatever to change the MD5 hash of your files before uploading.

Mediafire is also a good choice and could be used as a free user as well, depending on the size of your files.

    Yes...and i've got strike out.
Use that host only for backup and not post the links anywhere.

But thanks to their weakness system that let Files search engines crawl all links even my folder set as private. How come for files that not posting anywhere can receive DMCA complain

Rapidshare interface is full of flash contents also without premium download speed is very low so use rapidshare only if you got premium otherwise choose mediafire or depositfiles (90 days file deletion policy).

Use iFile or Jumbofiles for back up.
