Learn linux VPS. I like CentOS. But there's also Fedora and some people use Ubuntu server too. Learning server is just like learning the desktop version. If you know the linux commands, you're 50% ready. The rest is just learning about networking, security and such but they won't be hard. It's easy. They just take time. Just use Google if you don't know how to do something and try to memorize the steps. Your knowledge will add on.

Its not easy,if it was, it wouldn't take time.its nothing like windows ..Centos and Fedora are the same with regard to subtle nuances, they are both based on the redhat kernel....I haven't tried that host but just make sure bandwidth and RAM are sufficient for the application your running....For learning purposes I suggest using CBT's.

L337Fx.com BeastieBay.nethttp://www.webhostgear.com/hosting-articles.html it solved most of my problems when I was learning server management.
Also, what you can do now is just get a low end VPS, read some tutorials online (Google them) and try playing with the VPS.
