Just recieved this, any help?, you can probaly guess what i do from the domain name?

You need to do some searching on dmca notices and maybe talk to a someone else but I do not believe a blanket take-down notice is acceptable by the courts. Several large corporations have had legal actions by them thrown out of court because of vague dmca take-down notices.


Search "proper dmca notice" for information on that and check chilling effects for info on proper notification requirements and counter dmca.

DO NOT sit back and wait, they will file a complaint with your host who will act in accordance with their published terms of service.

Is the artist/labels named in the subject of the mail?

It does name who they are work for (RCA MUSIC GROUP / SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT). The notice is a little sloppy but you could ask for URLs but as I can't see your site it's hard to make a call. One thing is for sure, Web Sheriff won't leave you alone now and they do take people to court.

just received an e-mail and they have said that they didn't issue it and it was a fake
