    All i have seen over the web about this is 'google is evil' etc.. but to me this dosn't seem like such a big deal, all of these sites were gathering information independantly before, what's the big deal if they gather information together.

    What I've heard right now, right here ,is that they do a better spy on us, to serve us more targetted ads, based on our habits. Meh

    Well this has some really good points. If you change you privacy or security settings now in Gmail they are changed for Google documents as well just like if you were to change you password for gmail it would change your Google documents email already. Makes sense. Also this is exactly what Facebook have in their developer platform. Everything you do through a Facebook app is under the one privacy policy just now like Google Products. Apple have the same thing already too for iTunes, iCloud, iPhone, iBooks, etc. It's just Google couldn't really do it before as they didn't have G+ which links the products together to allow this.
