Absinthe Jailbreak Released for Windows iphone 4s/ipad 2

As promised, the Chronic Dev Team has released the Windows version of their ?Absinthe? untethered jailbreaking tool. Absinthe, which jailbreaks the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 running iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1, was first released yesterday for Mac users only. Microsoft?s operating system also received some love from the iPhone Dev Team today, as they released a Windows version of their ?redsn0w? command line interface (CLI) tool shortly ago. Happy jailbreaking!

If you are getting an ?error establishing a database connection? message when trying to jailbreak your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 with the recently released Absinthe, iOS hacker Yiduo Wang (@planetbeing) has a solution for you.

In your device?s settings, navigate to Settings > Network > VPN > ON. Although you will achieve an error by doing this, your device will quickly reboot and the jailbreak process should be fully functional. You might still have to open the Absinthe web clip to resume the jailbreak.
