linkcheck.haussmann.bizlinkcheck addon for Chrome and Firefox
Dear KWWHunction Community
big update: The extension is now available for Google Chrome !
I am developing a restartless firefox add-on / chrome extension that checks the online status of one-click hoster links.
This add-on checks links of rapidshare, mediafire, depositfiles, uploaded.to and many other file hosts.
It is available in the Chrome webstore and on the Mozilla add-ons site:
Please give it a try and let me know what you think, so I can improve it.
http://linkcheck.haussmann.biz/
These hosters are supported so far:
- bayfiles.com
- bitshare.com
- cramit.in
- ddlstorage.com
- depositfiles.com (+folders)
- extabit.com (login required)
- fiberupload.com
- file4sharing.com
- filefactory.com
- filegag.com
- filejungle.com
- fileking.co
- filepost.com
- filevelocity.com
- freakshare.com
- hitfile.net
- hotfile.com
- jumbofiles.com
- lafiles.com
- linkcrypt.ws
- linksave.in
- lumfile.com
- mediafire.com (+folders)
- ncrypt.in
- netload.in (+folders, netfolder.in)
- queenshare.com
- rapidshare.com
- rarefile.net
- **********
- ryushare.com
- safelinking.net
- share-online.biz
- sharpfile.com
- turbobit.net
- uploaded.to/.net
- uploading.com
- uploadstation.com
I am proud to say that unlike many other scripts and add-ons this one does not send the links it checks to any third party. For example: If a rapidshare.com link gets checked, then only rapidshare.com is queried for Information with the full link name.
For debugging purposes this add-on collects summarized and anonymized usage data, like: "5 rapidshare links got checked, 20% were offline".
I welcome any suggestions and feedback.
Cheers,

ihide.infoI just like using the JDownloader Link checker.
its an extra step than having links get checked on the site when you load the page. I use to have FF addon for link checking. but then there were problems with phishing, files being downloaded as you load the page, and other issues.
ive moved away from FF though and use chrome. so i dont mind using just jdownloader.
The Cavern Links Checker.. was the best link checker I used when I used FireFoxKWWH has turned gay. I will not return until Phamous is demoted.

linkcheck.haussmann.bizDear ShareShiz
I myself am using the JDownloader link checker, but would not want to miss the comfort of seeing the results directly on the websites.
If you give it a try you can see that the results are shown automatically (no clicks required) and they are breezingly fast due to the fact that the checks are done client-side and through api usage of the filehosters.
Your concerns regarding privacy were actually the reason for writing this add-on: This add-on does involve no third parties for checking the results and is open source. Another factor to consider is the mozilla approval with its high standard for privacy and security.
I am sorry for your bad experiences with background loading, but let me assure you that it is not possible with this add-on.
Cheers,
Friedrich

linkcheck.haussmann.bizI am sorry, but I wrote this add-on using the firefox add-on sdk which is not chrome-compatible so far.
It is on my todo list to figure out how much conversion would be needed to make it available in chrome, but for now it is firefox only.
Thank you for your reconsideration though.
Cheers,
Friedrich
