Razer reveals Windows tablet gaming PC concept design

As promised last week, Razer has now revealed exactly what its mysterious "Project Fiona" is all about at CES 2012 today. It's a Windows-based tablet PC but designed specifically for gaming. While the product does use a touch screen like most tablets, Project Fiona also has two controllers with analog sticks, one attached to each side of the tablet, to control all aspects of the tablet, including gaming.

So what's the deal with the controllers attached to the tablet? According to Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan :

While multi-touch screens have become the de facto user interface for tablets, they are not the right interface for serious PC gaming. The user interface we have designed for Project Fiona allows all existing PC games to be played right out of the box and also provides game developers new opportunities as they develop next-gen games on a highly-intuitive platform. Both developers and gamers are going to love the new user interface that combines the best of a gamepad, multi-touch screen and accelerometers for an all-new gaming experience on-the-go.
The tablet itself also has an Intel Core i7 processor inside which means that gamers won't be limited to playing titles like Angry Birds on Project Fiona. Instead you can play high end graphically rich PC games with Project Fiona. The tablet also has "ultra-precise accelerometers". Razer believes that games will be developed specifically for Project Fiona that will take advantage of the tablet's different user interfaces and controls.

While Project Fiona is still in the concept state, Razer states that the actual gaming PC tablet could be released by the end of 2012 for the price of under $1,000.

pretty cool but i think it would be much better if the just sorta split the 360 controller in half and stuck it one, much more familiar gaming experience for alot of people.
