    You don't have to choose mainstream for your reseller hosting. Many reputable providers that have been around for a long time offer packages that are competitive with the two you mentioned. You will get better care from a mid-level provider and you won't be supporting a big box company and their agenda which might not be in line with your own.

    Personally I wouldn't touch godaddy, they have made some poor business choices and they have to accept the costs of those choices. I have a HostGator account for some small sites an its cheap and never had any problems.
