    Default http server on a home server

    hi i have made a home server

    got it all working but i want to setup some way of gettting files from server to the users pcs

    all user are in my house its a family server not public one

    i was thinking about an http server i downloaded a free one but i can not get it to load the site from pc it only works on the home server i have tried using no-ip but still does not work

    is there any other way to do this any help with this will be really great thank you
    may be a way to stream the movies ?

    Does your computers in a same LAN ?

    last time i done a work groups sett up a couple of years ago you need a floppy to install on each pc on the group

    i have not get any floppys now

    If you see the other computers in the lan, turn on file sharing on each computer and the shared folders should be seen for each computer. If you want more folders to be seen right click them and share them.

    you forgot to open port 80 for the internal network...

    opening the port on the host computer should do and you would connect via the internal ip (192.168.1.2)
