Best VPS distribution software?
Hiya guys, as some of you know I plan on creating and distributing VPS's to my clients, does anyone have any recommendations along the lines of HyperVM and Virtuozzo. Reasons for the software would be appreciated.

GuardHosts.comHello Sp32,
I would recommend you SolusVM because of it's functionality and ease use.
I have no idea of Virtuozzo, but as far as I am concerned HyperVM's development is hampered so I would not recommend you.
Best regards,

KWWHunction.comopenvz/virtuizzo is the visualization software
SolusVM is the container software
Which is basically one install, When ever you install SolusVM
how ever if you do setup vps services you need to have one vps node for the virtual machines and then id say a small dedicated server or a high end vps from a reputable provider to operate as the master machine to control all of the vm's
i say this because if you have the master on the same node as the virtual machines
1. it is a security risk
2. if a vm goes under a ddos attack then you loose access to your master
and theres other reasons but im hungry

The underlying architecture that allows you to create a VPS are of different types, but the two most popular ones are:
- OpenVZ
- Xen
They both allow virtualization, with Xen being different in that it does not allow you to oversell. Any resources allocated to a Xen VPS are dedicated to it in every way and form. Those resources cannot be 'reused' or 'oversold' to any other container. This is also why Xen VPS's are usually expensive compared to OpenVZ.
Now some of the most popular softwares that help you MANAGE these VPS's, that I know of, are:
- SolusVM
- Virtpanel
- Virtuozzo
- HyperVM

it's more or less like asking cpanel or kloxo...
Hypervm is gr8 but for budget people who don't wanna spend a extra buck
Virtuozzo is better because of the support and user-friendliness
