Default Starting my website.. looking for some help.

    Hi friends.
I have a web site (not officially announced yet). I have a "safe" domain name. I have a blank web site ready to build, it's on line right now. All you get is the IPboard template. I won't post the URL publicly here on the advice of other threads I've read here. my site is in a very "safe" place (if there really is such a thing) from the DMCA. I have my own unique niche so I will not do much leeching and repackaging from other sites. I have an overwhelming supply of my own very unique niche material unlike anything i've seen on other forums. I expect to have many members but making money is not initially the primary objective, although when money starts coming in, I'll be happy. (No I'm not linking any kind of porn and is actually family friendly).

My question is (after busting through many brick walls to get to this point) Where is the safest place to store and link my files? (certainly not Filesonic) Does remote uploading "really" work if files get taken down, I mean are these servers really that cooperative with each other with "remote uploading"? It seems problematic.

Let's face it, file hosts would not be in business if it weren't for copyright infringement, why are they (the servers) so quick to pretend to be on the side of the copyright police? It's just a silly cat and mouse game, it seems, they just "pretend" to cooperate with DMCA. Realistically, how many "legal" files can they move through their servers and stay in business, they really HAVE to do the MAJOR, HUGE volume they do with files that the DMCA does not approve of. These ARE the files people want, otherwise nobody will buy premium memberships (like myself)....or am I just way off base? Really......Who want's to download thousands of copies of little Johnny's baseball video or high school graduation or thousands of copies of legal instructions on knitting? Or even some "no-name" local band trying to promote their music.....legally, It's just absurd, and it's not realistic. It seems the whole system is perfectly set up as an alternative to UseNet to share copyrighted material and nothing else but everyone pretends to be on the up and up.

On another note, what blows my mind is how Filesonic and WUpload are so highly praised but even with my premium membership to both, I'll attempt to download something within 24 hours of posting many many times or even in the middle of my download, the files are taken down, leaving me to get the missing pieces from Fileserve or Oron or erasing the useless incomplete pieces. I like that Fileserve and Oron usually have the files on line much longer and seem more dependable but so many people talk s*** about them, I guess I've only dealt with them as a downloader, and not an affiliate member. I'm so confused. By habit I now go to Fileserve links first, I just don't bother with Filesonic and WUpload anymore except as a last resort, and of course the files are usually gone anyways (Not trying to disrespect them but it is what it is). I know there are other servers other than the ones I mentioned, What servers are YOU using that seem consistent and reliable and honest with their affiliate programs?

And what about RDT or sBorg? or a place to store my files so I can get them back on line quickly. I'm not trying to do any multiposting or anything complicated, just keep my files safe from takedown. Does anyone have any favorite servers that they use (with an affiliate plan of course) I don't want to appear dumb but sBorg seems confusing. The area I live doesn't quite have the fastest upload speeds at any price and I want to make sure my files are safe (expecially from DMCA bots) and accessible somewhere else when they are eventually brought down by DMCA on my sharing servers and I can fix the problem quickly... My files will all be passworded and encrypted RARs and file-named with my own coded scheme.

Again, any help would be appreciated, and if this subject has been covered before, I apologize for taking up the forum space. Yes, I'm a "noob" but I'm trying to learn, Please be patient and please keep this thread friendly. You can PM me if you want... Thanks to all.

    Hello mate
first i have thought u might be describing about you new forum or about your niche
but you talk more about Filehost sites
well File host are clever if you have PPS plan then the downloads are counted exactly
and if you have PPD plan then your sales are counted exactly. huh!!

yes ur files gets deleted/removed by em if they get DMCA notice
i recommend you to go with RDP's. you get like 250GB HDD you can always back up your files and upload them with faster upload speeds. alternatively u can save ur uploaded files on your filehost it self by renaming and not sharing but i guess, the file host guys do check MD5 and delete the DMCA noticed files as a result renamed/back-up'd files deleted too..!!

I figured that out too.. thats what makes it so complex. Seems like RDT would be the best way to go, I'm aware that we'll get stuff taken down, it's inevitable, but the main problem is that our upload speed here is so slow, that RDT would be great to make a tiny change so the md5 would change too. and then speedily upload again. I was just looking for a server that wasnt so quick to delete. Filesonic is ridiculous sometimes deleting stuff within hours.. ..... I'll keep researching... thanks for the reply...
