Filehost Link Checker for Wordpress

hello KWWH,
well its been a log time i have been searching for a wp link checker plugin for filehost such as megaupload, fileserver, filesonic , filejungle, wupload,filepost...for which the task is to state if a link is dead or not on the same wordpress page.
Something like the mozilla grease monkey for firefox released some years back ( but not compatiple anymore on the latest version).

Anyone knows?

I'm also searching for one. Pls share it if you find one.

If I can't get one I'll create a plugin myself when I have some free time. What I'm thinking about is a plugin that checks the filehost links in the posts automatically once every few hours (or only when the user clicks on the link checker, don't know yet).

It would follow the link and search for a given string on the page, eg. for filesonic.com it searches for "This file was deleted" and if it's not found, the link is considered alive. You could add hosts and specify the searched strings for each, so it could be customized easily.

there exists a plugin..it alerts you if the host returns a 404 not found error.it should work.it will alert you(admin) only.
its called broken link checker.

When a file is deleted and you go on the download page, you get a 200 OK response and not a 404 so I think that plugin won't work.
