i am on shared host i am facing this issue some time my auto script works and some times it gives this error


You don't have permission to access /wp/xmlrpc.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


which shared hosting can support xmlrpc.php for auto post?

There is NO error at our side, what are you misconfigurin with your script personally I don't know.

That isn't misconfigured script. Is just a test php script to test the xmlrpc posting on wordpress blogs.

which works fine in addon domains just not in main domain

where i get a 403 error.

On the main domain is a clean wordpress install like on the addon domains.

The only problem is that the main domain returns a 403 error.

exactly but why vps for less traffic site? even auto post script size is just 300kb very lite

Because you need root access for most stuff like settings on the server.

chmod the file to 775 via control pane/ftp..rename to the file to xmlrpc1.php. download latest version of wordpress and upload xmlrpc.php and see.report back here if it worked.

for chmod`ding use google

for the other thing.
1.backup old xmlrpc.php file
2.delete it
3.download latest wordpress
4.paste the xmlrpc.php.
5.see if it works

also dont forget to enable remote posting in wp-admin.i think its under settings tab.
