    Default issue with windows 7

So i recently bought a custom pc, the issue is at times programs "randomly start crashing"

When they crash, i can re-open the programs but they just crash and crash agian. It is not a daily thing it only happens every now and then. I just don't feel like using google i figure some of you guys may have better thoughts and possibly have had my issue. Im kind of leaning towards the hard disk its nothing big its a WD caviar blue i have two of them.

That sounds like a memory problem if they run ok one day then the next they crash.

Most new PCs come with a memory diagnostic in the bios settings or diagnostic parttiton of their setup.

By any chance do you have a Live CD with Memtest86+ on it? I know Ubuntu CD's come with it. Run it to test your RAM.

If not check if your PC is clean, no virusses, etc.

Make sure your components are seated properly and then see if it happens again. If so then try re-installing your OS and if it happens after that then I would suspect hardware. Hirens BootCD has some handy utilities for checking RAM (Memtest being a good one).
