    Smile How to Install Nginx On Centos

    I am currently running apache + php 5 with mysql on my centos dedicated server.I am new to linux and dedicated servers.I want to replace apache by nginx latest version with php 5 + mysql.I also need to install pleak control panel.

    Can any of you give me the commands in an updated tutorial or even help me doing it.

    1. Install the EPEL repository:

    # rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...5-3.noarch.rpm

    2. Install nginx

    # yum install nginx

    3. You will be asked to install the gpg-key for EPEL. Answer yes

    4. Start Nginx

    # /etc/init.d/nginx start

    5. Check the installation by going to your web server’s default site, either using your ip address or domain name.

    you can use some script which will help you install php nginx mysql in once by only one click

    if you're not familiar with ssh thingies, just install ISPconfig as your panel
    it comes with nginx/apache support now

    or you can install centmin, it also has nginx support

    I currently have apache on server and nginx .Apache already uses port 80 , can i change apache port to anything i want without disturbing my site
