How do you test or verify your 10Gbps connection?
uhm, how do you test your 10Gbps connection that your server has? I'm wondering as I've never thought of how it may be different from testing a 1Gbps line. So, basically, share me what you would do to test and verify that your provider actually connects your server to a 10Gbps line.

Lol you are one of the people who gets trapped in those 2Gbps and 10Gbps shit tricks
To use anything above 1Gbps whether in linux or windows, you need to have SSD Harddrives or Raid 10 else you cannot have your port speed pass 1Gbps no matter what you do
So get a SSD HDD or Raid 10 on server and then only you can attain or test anything above 1Gbps

Now that's what I call, worth a thread. I totally did not think of that. I understand that problem but it was totally not in my mind the last couple of days. I ordered 1Gbps and in my network in task manager, it's saying 10Gbps. Probably they know that I can't even go pass the 1Gbps, so they put whatever they want? haha. I think that's the reason. Thanks a lot for pointing that out. Maybe, I should just upgrade to 1 SSD and take the advantage of 10Gbps?
PS: I thought RAID-0 also gives you over 1Gbps speeds? Are you sure it's only RAID-10 and SSD's?

I wish I could but I'm on Windows, but then I'll need a good source like a super fast server to really see its full but anyways, shub has resolved my doubts. My drives are 7200 rpm SATA-II drives and not in RAID so I would not pass 1Gbps even if I'm connected 10000Gbps lolz.

If you are on windows you can make a ramdisk to test the speed.

Very good thread, look for SSD or Raid 10 when buying server package.
