I don't actually like much about the manipulation tbh...everything got whitewashed - like the trees were a nice vibrant green, now they're dull. I don't get the sorta mystical swirl around the boy, or the design on the tree and shirt.

Seems like there's no concept behind the manipulation itself, gosh I wouldn't call it a manip., its just paint brushs and pentool lol. Go on dA, look up some photo manipulations.

It looks like a 2 minute job.

You need to have a style, some kind of concept in your head of what you are trying to manipulate rather then just throw on some adjustments and overlays.
