[Help] htaccess --> lighttpd

Hey guys, (1) how do i check if mod_rewrite is enabled/installed in my lighttpd server? If not, how do i enable it?

(2) How do I add this htaccess code to lighttpd?

RewriteBase /alt
RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*)/ index.php?file=$2

just make .htaccess where ur site is and add

lighttpd config file location
/etc/lighttpd

if you use lighttpd with kloxo panel then vhost file location /home/httpd
other wise /etc/lighttpd/vhosts.d
