FileJungle is yet another site by FileServe
This was originally a comment in another thread, but I think this deserves to be discussed in its own thread.
Although less obvious than FileSonic and Wupload being operated by the same group of people (cousins, right, give me a break...) - it seems like so far no one has noticed that FileJungle is in fact yet another production by FileServe. Off the top of my head, here are several similarities that may seem coincidental at first, but when considered as a whole prove beyond any doubt that the two sites are one entity.
1. Both FJ and FS are hosted at Choopa.
2. DMCA page lists two similar nearby addresses in Hong Kong.
3. HTML forms throughout the entire site share the exact same unique field names. Here are a few: "userEmail" field in lost password page, "loginUserName", "loginUserPassword", and "autoLogin" remember-me checkbox in login page, "userIAgree" and all other fields in signup page, etc.
4. Nearly identical JavaScripts used at both sites.
5. Emails from both sites are similar as well, down to the webmaster@ address as well as the very similar IP addresses used by the mail servers. mail.filejungle.com resolves to 216.155.132.212 and mail.fileserve.com to 216.155.134.124.
6. Both sites make use of a subdomain that behaves the same way. http://l.fileserve.com and http://l.filejungle.com lead to an empty page with this ajax call: $("#ajaxReturn").load("/error.php", {'err': '404'}); Way out there for this to be coincidental.
7. Nearly identical File Managers - different layout but same functionality with separate lists for pending web files, ftp files, remote files, etc. And again - same JavaScript used in both sites.
8. Also identical JavaScript API powering both File Managers. Just one example - creating a new folder at FileServe posts to /file-manager.php the params "newFolderName=NAME&createFolderFormSubmit=Create+ folder&folderId=&createFolderDest=0" and at FileJungle, it posts to /file-manager-action.php the params "newFolderName=NAME&createFolderDest=0"
9. File Upload works the same exact way.. down to the API calls for progress check, etc. Same code, field names as well.
10. Referral program again shares way too many similarities. Examples: Referral IDs in each site's referral url is in the format of hRpGMAWMl8E~ and statistics pages are again almost identical.
11. FileJungle's DMCA page text is identical word-for-word to the one on LiveFirst, FileServe's latest venture. Same exact copy. LiveFirst did not exist when FJ launched, and who really thinks LiveFirst copied FileJungle's text? I mean, really.
12. Now look at the DNS records:
Code:$ nslookup NS.FILEJUNGLE.COM Name: NS.FILEJUNGLE.COM Address: 108.61.5.205 $ whois 108.61.5.205 Uploadstation Ltd NET-108-61-5-200-29 (NET-108-61-5-200-1) 108.61.5.200 - 108.61.5.207 Choopa, LLC CHOOPA-NETBLK08 (NET-108-61-0-0-1) 108.61.0.0 - 108.61.255.255 $ nslookup ns2.uploadstation.com Name: ns1.uploadstation.com Address: 108.61.5.204

Like I said in previous thread, everyone with brain can figure it, sure if you look deeper into code you will confirm it, it's so obvious.

Yeah... It's already obvious when you ping them and it traces back to Choopa...

I'm also surprised so many are buying the story that FileSonic and Wupload are run by two separate entities (cousins who compete with each other). Really? Are people that stupid? I'm not saying there is something necessarily wrong with having multiple brands for the same type of product, but why not be upfront about it? FS and Wupload are way too similar for it to be a different separate operation (then they tell you FS helped WU get started bla bla).

ImageZilla.netI suspected something as well when I saw it was located in Choopa.
@Th3KiNG, not really most uploaders know how much shaving goes on in fileserve and uploadstation. I personally used to upload to filejungle then I stopped once I found out it was located in Choopa. I make alot more at filepost now.
