vaporhostn.comWrong haha... IPB becomes a resource hog when someone goes crazy adding shit they dont no of.. And adding millions of sub forums...
Also 10gb is not to little..
I started t-warez with 2gb diskspace and 50gb a month bandwith...
It became a very large site which in the end i got a better shared host who allowed me to use resources needed...
All i can say is any forum would do but VB will kill any shared host instantly...
Also try to make users link to picture.. dont allow any uploading... as this would save you alot of trouble if it ever came down to a server move and bandwith

plenty
10 gb is plenty for forum and blog space... what would you like to host on the site? If it is a normal forum with users/uploaders posting stuff, then a post would be a few kb (in mysql), and maybe attachments/avatar images are hosted on the server, but that needs just a little space too, as that is only 10-100 kb/user, depending on their activity.
The images in posts are hosted on free image hosts too, so they don't need server space.
Believe me, with shared hosts the problems will start with cpu usage, when you have a lot of visitors.
So the things you should be careful: good caching and CPU friendly scripts (beware with statistic and shoutbox/chat scripts, they can hit your database, there are free hosted alternatives for them, like chatango and google analytics)
When your site grows enough, you should start thinking about using cloudfare, that would give you a little more time until you "grow out" your host.
As for forum script: mybb is good, light, fast and secure for beginners, while phpbb is much more robust but has a bigger community and maybe better if you want more customization.
