1 Gbps Unmetered with H/W RAID 10
Hi,
Can anyone give me quote or suggest me any company, which could provide me a server similar/equivalent to configuration given below:
Intel Dual Xeon 5620/X3440/X3450
12-16 GB RAM
4 X 1 TB HDD (With Hardware Raid 10)
1 Gbps Truly Unmetered
Cpanel/WHM
Budget: 350$-450$
I would not be hosting any warez, IRC, video streaming or CDN, it will be a download server.

singlehop and hivelocity bandwidth costs are too much, and i guess singlehop doesn't even give 1 gbps port.

xsl.tel xsltel.comhave you contacted them asking for a quote or something? or you just saw their onsite offers?
I would recommended you to colocate such server, its way to expensive to rent such specs.

@O2Videos for a download server why you need WHM ?
or your idea is to create a filehost download server ? like similar to file servers of filesonic, hotfile etc ?
if un metered B/W is a must, then look on rapidspeeds, fdcservers etc

FDC servers would be okay. Just make sure you get it in the czech datacenter.
https://www.fdcservers.net/order-1.php?plan_id=355
Then add your extra HDD's and pick your bandwidth.

WelltodoCentury.comTo tell you the truth, I would rather do multiple 100TB Servers as compared to a single 100TB Server. That would be more cost effective than getting a 1Gbps Unmetered Server coz it basically equates to around 300TB+ only for 1Gbps Unmetered.
As for FDC, I don't think they really do Dedicated Ports. Their Ports are shared if I'm not mistaken.Aaron Ong

FDC has dedicated ports only..though they aren't able to push too much.
Also their hardware are too old and mostly always faulty.
