About closing threads...

I've been seeing closure of "uploaders wanted" and such threads day by day but all they get is a simple /close on them... How bout deleting them? If it's against the rules and frowned upon why still keep them up for views?

Just seems like you guys giving people a chance to get in contact to whatever needs people want (e.g. open uploader needed thread, thread gets closed, can still PM user about it.) regardless of mod edits on the OP.
