Server load high - VPS
The VPS is with 1GB ram and 4cpu with Kloxo. The website on it uses vBulletin.
The problem is that the load is high around 10 - 20. I think the problem is with apache. It is taking a lot of CPU Usage. The site is too slow.
I checked the processes using top cmd and result is
I also checked the dd I/O and speed was around 31 Mb/s.
Also this is the list of apache modules installed using httpd -l, is there anyother way to check it ?
Using apachectl -t -D DUMP_MODULES
Can anyone tell me is apache the cause for the slow speed of webpage loading and high CPU. Also what are the mods should I install for apache ?
Should I install mod_deflate and any other suggestions ?

In order to protect against DoS attacks (those involving one computer -> one server) I recommend mod_antiloris.
I have modified it sometime ago.

I only have windows builds but the source should build in linux as well. (although I don't know how)Trusted: Dom, l0calh0st, 0ccul7, robert420
