if ur facing issue with vb, then caes are most likely

1) Overloaded vps host node, poor disk I/O and cpu allocation
2) poorly optimized mysql config
3) database size grown up to several GBs , so that it can be run only on high speed disks like SAS ( if you want full performance)

Next time buy fully managed vps so u dont have to pay extra
