You didn't attach the full contents of mail you got, meaning we don't know what exactly they demand from you.
Basically you have three options (assuming you're on offshore host (and you should be, if you're on this forum):
-Just remove the offending thread ( They can't ask you to take down WHOLE site under DMCA law - they need to identify exact locations where you're allegedly infriging their copyright, ie. list all forum threads where you post their stuff)
-Reply to them that you're hosting no files on your site, only link to sites that host them, and since filehosts have their own DMCA policies they should contact them ( you can add some bullshit that since the host that's hosting the file in question has their DMCA policies you can assume that the files were actually authorized to be shared publicly)
-Ignore the mail (not recommended, but since you live in india you should be fine. Do this only if you have good webhost that will stick up for you)

    Dear **************

    NOTICE OF INFRINGEMENT OF DIRECTLINKSPOT.COM

We represent each of the major motion picture studios in the United States, specifically,
Paramount Pictures Corporation, Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., Twentieth Century Fox
Film Corporation, Universal City Studios LLC, Warner Brothers Entertainment Inc., Walt Disney
Studios Motion Pictures, and their respective affiliates (collectively, the “MPAA Member
Studios”), which own or control exclusive rights under copyright in and to a vast number of
cinematographic films/ motion pictures and television shows (“Copyrighted Works”). MPAA
Member Studios and/or their affiliates have exclusive rights to make copies of the Copyrighted
Works, sell the same, hire the works out for screening/ viewing and communicate the same to
    the public through any medium.

We are writing to notify you of the extensive copyright infringement of the Copyrighted Works
that is occurring by virtue of your operation of the Internet website, Directlinkspot.com (the
“Website”), and to demand that you take immediate steps to address these infringements.

Under U.S. copyright law, indexing, linking to, framing, transmitting, retransmitting, providing
access to, and/or otherwise aiding or assisting those who stream infringing copies of
copyrighted audiovisual works emanating from unauthorized Internet websites constitutes
contributory copyright infringement. See Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. v. Grokster, Ltd.,
    545 U.S. 912 (2005); Columbia Pictures Indus., Inc. v. Fung, No. 06-5578, 2009 U.S. Dist. Lexis
122661, at *56 (C.D. Cal. Dec. 21, 2009) (defendants liable for infringement where they
operated a website that provided and index of and links to copies of plaintiffs’ works). Indeed,

    MOTION PICTURE ASSOCIATION - INTERNATIONAL

in the recent decision Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. v. Free-tv-video-online.info, Case No.
CV 08-8484 (C.D. Cal. Feb. 1, 2010), a court granted summary judgment against owners of an
Internet website who deliberately/ intentionally provided links to infringing works.

You will further note that it makes no difference that your Website might not have infringing
content on it, or only provides links to infringing content. For example, in Fung, defendants
did not store any infringing content on their website but were subject to liability for indexing
and providing links to infringing content. See Fung, 2009 U.S. Dist. Lexis 122661, at *56. Your
copyright infringement can subject you to liability for substantial damages, along with
attorneys’ fees, costs, and a permanent injunction. See, e.g., Universal City Studios Prods. LLLP
    v. Movierumor.com, Case No. CV 08-4931 (C.D. Cal. Jun. 18, 2009) (approving request for
damages in the amount of $150,000 per infringed work, for a total monetary award against
the operator of a website in excess of $1.6 million).

Attached as Exhibit A is a list of some of the motion pictures and television programs that are
owned or controlled by the MPAA Member Studios and/or their affiliates and that are being
infringed by your Website. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) envisages that a
copyright claimant need not identify every infringing work on a website, but rather only “a
representative list of such works at that site.” [17 U.S.C. ? 512(c)(3)(A)(ii)]. Having been
informed, through the representative list, of “the nature and scope of infringement being
claimed,” S. Rep. No. 105-190 at 46, the DMCA requires the website operator to act in a
manner that would address all infringement(s) on that website, not merely the identified
representative examples. Exhibit A, therefore, is provided as a representative sample of the
infringements being committed as a result of the operation of the Websites and to
demonstrate the readily-apparent nature of the massive infringements occurring thereon.

Under Indian law such activities, to the extent they occur in or from India, violate provisions of
the Copyright Act, 1957, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and other criminal and civil
    laws.

You will note that Exhibit A, merely provides concrete examples of what is obvious from even
a cursory review of your Website. Your Website promotes and facilitates blatant infringement
of the MPAA Member Studios’ copyrights and countless other copyrights. Distributing and/or
indexing the Copyrighted Works belonging to MPAA Member Studios and/or their affiliates
appears to be the predominant use of your Websites. The only way not to notice would be to
turn a blind-eye to the obvious.

We hereby call upon you to immediately cease and desist from using the Website to directly
or indirectly cause, contribute to, enable, facilitate, aid, abet, induce, encourage, and/or
participate in the infringement of the MPAA Member Studios’ Copyrighted Works, including
but not limited to those worked identified on the enclosed Exhibit A. In particular, we call
upon you stop indexing, linking to, providing access to, or in any way contributing to the
infringement of the MPAA Member Studios’ Copyrighted Works and further call upon you to
ensure that links to the works on Exhibit A and to other Copyrighted Works whose copyrights
are owned by the MPAA Member Studios do not appear on the Website in the future, unless
you have obtained proper authorization from the relevant copyright owner. Moreover, to the
extent that you or your agents are involved in (i) directly transmitting, streaming, or otherwise
publicly performing unauthorized copies of the MPAA Member Studios’ Copyrighted Works in
violation of U.S. copyright law, or (ii) uploading unauthorized copies of the MPAA Member
Studios’ Copyrighted Works onto third party websites in violation of U.S. copyright law and to

    MOTION PICTURE ASSOCIATION - INTERNATIONAL

which your and/or other websites link, we demand that you immediately and permanently
cease and desist from such activities.

We are providing this notice based on our good faith belief that the use of the Copyrighted
Works owned by the MPAA Member Studios in the manner occurring via the Website is not
authorized by the copyright owners, their agents, or the law. The information in this
notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, we are authorized to act on behalf of
the MPAA Member Studios, which own or control exclusive rights under copyright that are
being infringed in the manner described herein. This letter is without prejudice to the rights
and remedies of the MPAA Member Studios, all of which are expressly reserved.

If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Suh, the Senior Vice President of Content
Protection, Internet, at the Motion Picture Association of America. Mr. Suh can be reached by
telephone at 818-935-5859, or via email at antipiracy@copyright.org.

If you actually read it, they're basically making a request that you cease activities on the site full stop. Not only the few links they provided.

Not sure if you use private whois, but they've managed to get your personal details from somewhere.
