How to run website in Kloxo with IP (before changing the DNS of website)

u need to set it up witha site first the bind the ip with the sitename and then u can remove the site name and u will be left with the ip.

u need to setup dns + add a site, when dns updates,bind the ip to the domain and then the ip will work.The site has to have fqdn to work with the ip.

Arthur, this feature was put in lxadmin for me just before the creator killed himself.
Simply put the domain of your website as "lxdummyNN.com" and then goto admin > domain options. In the text at the top click where it says to "click here" then click the IP address, goto configure domain at the top right of the 4 bars, then pick default domain "lxdummyNN.com" That way you do not need a real domain pointing and you can access your site just by http://(IP)
Hope that was detailed enough, if it wasn't I can set up a vps and make a screen shot run through.

You want to be able to access your site before you make any DNS change?

If you do this is what i usually do.

Install your control panel and set everything up
Add your domain.

Open your PC's hosts file with notepad( Example location.. C:/Windows/System32/driver/etc/) change it to your default windows installation.

Now open up the hosts file with notepad and add the following

123.456.789   www.domain.com
123.456.789   domain.com

Should look like this




Save it. Wait about 5 minutes and your domain should work.
