Cost of Running a DDL

I'm sorry ajinkya9 and Suicidal but where does this traffic come from exactly? People don't like DDL sites anymore as forums, blogs and even search engines are better for finding what your after so that rules our direct traffic. As for refer traffic those link backs and image buttons send hardly anything. Even Katz and their huge header button rules for sites didn't notice a big difference in traffic when they were introduced. It's a DDL so you won't get much organic traffic no matter how good your script is eg NexusDDL has probably the most advanced DDL script around and litewarez had a fantastic script but it could never get traffic.

Traffic is key and without that your going no where.

All I wanted to say is that quality of downloads can not be judged by the rank of the site. That's it.

At least that's what I see when I visit a DDL. Some times, there are also some fake downloads.

Any way, just a thought.

As far I can see, all DDLs are loosing traffic. Just check how much their Alexa dropped, indexed pages. Only Phaze is still strong but they don't accept new sites and as far I can see, Twilight is only one that is somehow keeping Alexa stable, and Twilight does send most traffic (compared it with other top DDLs, using site which is highest rank on all DDLs).

I'd stay with Twilight, Zunox, Linkplz, AtomicWarez and NexusDDL, everyone else is not sending any/decent traffic. People who add ton of DDLs are fools. You want to have as less outgoing links as possible. What's point having button of some DDL (cough MechoDDL) and not getting anything in return?

Script does not matter Jason. Look at Phaze, worst looking and old ass script but it has traffic.

If you got traffic you will get somewhere, it doesn't matter how good your script is, it never will matter in a DDL world.

Buying good quality traffic is extremely expensive and not realistic long term for a DDL site. As for scripts the NexusDDL script is incredibly advanced on a established site and domain and still seeing it's traffic decline.
