Help with my site - redirects

Hi, I have a problem.
I just got myself a dedicated server, and uploaded all of my site's files to it using one of the IPs.

mydomain.com is temporarily pointing to my shared hosting nameservers for a maintenance page.

The thing is every time I access the IP where I uploaded the site's files, it automatically redirects to mydomain.com.

How is it possible that it can redirect to mydomain.com without updating the nameservers?
What are the possible reasons the a site redirects?

You must be using CMS system or any script like VBulletin, DLE

The reason is that it has a forum url option which you can either change in admin cp or from a cofig file / mysql database

The url must be of the domain name

However when you visit the website, it posts the variables on the url of the website added in the admin cp

For eg, in dle:
